“Air support mate?” Jetfire asked, turning his head towards the gryphon. Stormshadow shook her head then raised a hand.

“We don’t have many flying based transformers here, and Windstalker is in charge for the main aerial assault, which is on hold for now because of the storm we’re experiencing at the moment. When the time comes, we cant injure any villagers, since they are under Scourge’s protection.” Stormshadow said, optics flashing towards the two male mechs.

Jetfire tilted his head, then looked over at Wingsaber, who was being forced down by the giant eagle claws of the gryphon.

“Well… ugh… would you mind telling… what kind of villagers they are?” Wingsaber grunted, slightly struggling under Windstalker’s grip. Stormshadow sighed, then turned her blue optics onto Wingsaber, then smiled as the white and dark grey gryphon let go of  the jets armored shoulders.

“Humans.” Windstalker stated without missing a beat, yellow optics locked onto both of the mechs as they sharply turned towards her. She knew they would give that reaction, so she turned her feathered head towards Stormshadow and nodded. Stormshadow gave a silent nod back to her sibling then turned her attention towards the two mechs.

“When you all left the Beast Planet last time, Scourge made an announcement about trying to settle a small amount of humans, human researchers here, a few days afterwards, hence the village we told you about. Of course this information would never reach Prime’s sensor range, since Scourge sent this request directly to Professor Suzuki. Both of them has a little chat, so to speak, and after talking for quite awhile, they came to an agreement and sent several researchers onboard the Hyperborea. Several as in a little over ten researchers, along with two kids---”

“Was it Lori or Coby?” Wingsaber interrupted. Stormshadow frowned, not liking it when someone interrupts her. With a slight shake of her head, he sighed. As several lightning bolts flashed over their heads, she continued.

“--- two kids, though both around Lori’s age though. But they’re not here now, as they were sent back with vital information on the planet surface a few days ago, just before this rebel group started to become quite a handful for Scourge. So he ended up sending a signal for assistance to Prime, and here you two are. That just about covers it.” Stormshadow finished quickly, then glanced up at the sky, which had grown pretty dark with clouds. Windstalker turned slightly and headed back into the forest, but paused then she was stopped by having her nickname being called.

“I’m going back to the temple, Stormshadow. We can bring them along as well, don’t worry. There‘s more than enough room in the temple, where the aerial squad are resting for the evening. And Jetty, don’t even think about trying to contact with Optimus Prime. He must NOT know about what is going on.” Windstalker said as she was joined with Stormshadow, who was back in her panther mode.

“Crikey, this will be fun mate.”

Wingsaber and Jetfire exchanged looks, then followed after the two femmes, smiling. That was going to be one long evening for everyone.

After a good long walk, the group of four reached the entrance of the temple, where the squad was resting at in the far corner. Both Storm and Wind shook themselves off and transformed, then looked back at the two mech. They both gave the same look, then glanced at each other.

“This is going to be one long night. What we need is rest for tomorrow so we can find out how near the rebels line are to the village, then plan our defense according to what the readings show.” Stormshadow said quietly to Windstalker. Windstalker sighed, then nodded and they both walked over to the small aerial team, who were all snoozing away. The two mechs stood there for a few moments, before a flash of lightning illuminated the background for them, and they quickly moved away from it.

Jetfire and Wingsaber exchanged several different glanced before turning to look at the girls, who were looking back at them weirdly.

“What are you two up to? Oh what am I saying? You two must be up to something by now, otherwise there would not be that awkward silence hovering around you two at this moment.” Stormshadow said, smiling ever so slightly as they began to turn back around.

“You two should feel lucky. We asked Prime if we could come instead the other team members. It was because of you two, weather you two like it or not. You’re stuck with us.” Wingsaber said, giving the girls a thumbs up.

“What are we going to do with you two? But you both will soon learn that you are in way over your heads with this little rebel group. Just be sure you follow what I say when protecting the village, and attacking the rebels.” Windstalker warned, but had a hint of her usual soft tone underneath the harshness. The siblings settled near the small flying transformer group and leaned back against the cold surface, while the mechs settled on either side of them, smirking.

“What is Stormy doing while you lead the aerial team Windy?” Jetfire asked, hearing the two femmes growl softly when he used their nicknames, but let it go as both siblings turned their optics towards Jetfire.

“Lead a ground team for backup. Simple right? I don’t fly, that’s Winds job, not mine Jetfire. You should know that by one glance at my beast mode.” Stormshadow growled softly, narrowing her optics at the green mech. A gentle hand gripped her shoulder and she calmed down a lot, glancing over her shoulder at Wingsaber, who was smiling slightly.

Windstalker sighed, optics glancing over at the green mech beside her, then shifted her gaze over to one of the few flying femmes in the group, who’s beast mode was a bald eagle. It wasn’t long before the group of four settled down for the night.

------

Movement around them jolted the two mechs out of their recharge state. The two femmes were already up, as was the whole lot of the aerial team, which most were looking at them weirdly. A strong voice broke out from the group, a males voice to be exact.

“What are these two… mechs doing here? Scourge hadn’t said anything about these two. And you failed to tell us that we had a small backup team. What else aren’t you telling us Windstalker?” A tall mech, his beast mode a Harpy Eagle, growled angrily, red eyes flashing at the transformed gryphon in front of him.

The two mechs watched on as Windstalker quickly stepped up in front of him, yellow optics blazing.

“Listen to me. You weren’t put on this team just so you could talk down to other people and criticize them. I even don’t give a frag about how valuable you were to Scourge either. You’re here because we need all the flying type transformers on this planet to stop these rebels and this is critical, not just to the humans, but to the safety of them as well as Scourge area of rule. This isn’t only about defeating them anymore, these rebels are threatening to overrun Scourge’s boundaries, and if they do, we’ll have a lot of trouble on our side. Right now… we’re waiting precious time in this pointless argument of yours. To answer your questions, yes you were informed by Scourge, instead of me and Stormshadow, secondly, I’m certainly not hiding anything, if I was, I would have told you already!” Windstalker shot back, the wings on her back flaring open, her voice echoing in the temple, rebounding off the stone walls. She kept her optics locked onto the mechs red ones until he stepped down, growling as he did so.

Stormshadow slide her gaze over to Wingsaber and Jetfire, who quickly got to their feet, were standing there in shock and a little bit angry, it would look like. The transformed panther frowned as the femme with the bald eagle beast mode walked up to the gryphon and whispered something to her. In a split second, she knew what it was, even though she didn’t have to hear it. She was the messenger who would be in contact with Scourge all the time until the rebels have been defeated. Without a glance towards the mechs, she transformed into her panther mode and shot off to her own group a little ways off in another cave, but these were the finest ground based transformers, both mechs and femmes that were picked by Scourge himself.

------

The two teams maintained constant communication with each other, as well as with Scourge, who demanded updates frequently. It was hectic to say the least, as well as a little weary since the team had two new additions. Time and time again, the two mechs traveled up to the lead with Windstalker, who immediately told them to fall back in line unless they had a reason to talk to her.

“Windstalker… what was the mechs problem? If I get my hands of hi-”

Windstalker silenced Jetfire with a quick glare, which immediately told both Jetfire and Wingsaber to keep their voices down. When they were quite, the gryphon flew up next to the two jets and turned her head slightly towards both of them.

“He isn’t trusted by the other team members, but he was a valuable aerial assault of Scourge‘s force back when you were fighting Scourge to join your side. Personally, I don’t trust him at all, more than the rest of this team put together, but I cant argue with what Scourge says---”

“We’ll back you and Storm up if you need help!” Wingsaber cut in.

“That’s so sweet of you, but we can take care of ourselves in these kind of fights. Dont worry so much about us, we can defend outselves in battle as well as outside.” The sweet smile of Windstalker was enough to ease Jetfire's worries.

------

It was all chaos now. But they haven’t even started to attack the rebel group when the aerial team was suddenly grounded roughly a mile away from the village soon followed by the ground team. The mech with the Harpy eagle beast mode was no where in sight. But soon after, he appeared, leading a large group of ground based beasts that were powerful and built with deadly weapons. The grounded teams were immediately surrounded soon after. But not before a small team of ground ‘bots had gone ahead earlier and evacuated almost all of the humans away. But still, some remain, hidden from sight.

Stormshadow and Windstalker stood back to back, glaring at the mechs and femmes alike around them. Their optics both locked onto two individuals in particular, the mech from before, and a femme with a large black dire wolf beast mode. Despite the warnings of the their groups, and the pleads of Wingsaber and Jetfire, the two femmes, ignoring them, leapt towards the other two leaders, clashing together in their beast modes.

“TRAITOR-----!” Two screams faded into one as there was a fury of wings, claws, and fangs as the leaders tried to take the other one down. Only time, which was short, would tell who came out victorious.
Crappy Title btw! Couldnt think of another one... -_-;
